ROLE SUMMARY

As a Global Sourcing Specialist, you will execute our comprehensive Strategic Sourcing Plan with a strong emphasis on product sourcing and supplier management/development. You’ll support our business products portfolio, with a focus on OEM suppliers and a global supply base. This is a high-impact role requiring a strategic mindset, adaptability, and an understanding of the complexities of international trade.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL…

  • Deliver sourcing strategies for key product categories, ensuring cost savings, strategic alignment, and tariff mitigation.
  • Manage supplier relationships across a diverse global supply base of approximately 45 suppliers across Asia and Europe.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams including Operations, Engineering, Product, QA, Finance, Logistics, Customer Service, Sales, and Marketing to meet corporate product profitability goals.
  • Drive tariff mitigation strategies and navigate the complexities of international trade legislation to optimize our global supply chain.
  • Drive year-over-year cost reductions and continuous improvements in the sourcing process to achieve corporate performance objectives.
  • Partner with Engineering teams to support New Product Development (NPD) and Continuous Product Development (CPD) processes, ensuring on-time delivery of roadmap goals.
  • Implement and manage OEM supplier development activities to improve productivity, quality, and cost-efficiency across both OEM and consumer packed goods models.
  • Address cost changes, scrap issues, and supplier pushback, collaborating with suppliers and internal teams to find timely solutions and update necessary documentation (e.g., Engineering Change Orders).
  • Oversee purchase orders and ensure suppliers meet agreed-upon timelines and quality standards.
  • Maintain awareness of global trade dynamics and apply that knowledge to supplier decisions, cost structures, and supply chain strategies.
