Description

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research or related technical field or equivalent combination of education.
  • 5+ years of experience in operations research, industrial engineering, or related field
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with data analysis, modeling, and simulation tools (e.g., Excel, Python, R, Simul8)
  • Proven communication and collaboration skills
  • Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, with experience adapting to changing priorities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Masters or Ph.D. degree in Operations Research and/or Industrial Engineering.
  • 5+ years of technical and manufacturing operations experience in the hardware systems industry.
  • Proven experience interfacing with and establishing relationships with executive leadership/management at suppliers or customers.
  • Experience transforming business systems, models, and achieving results relative to goals. Demonstrated skills questioning the norm, thinking out-of-bounds, and delivering.
  • Experience interfacing with internal & external partners in an entrepreneurial and cross-functional environment, requiring a latitude for independent judgment while coordinating people and technical resources.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and apply stochastic models to simulate complex manufacturing systems, including production capacity, throughput, and material flow. Analyze simulation results to identify bottlenecks, optimize production planning, and improve overall system performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate model assumptions and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Analyze the overall supply chain to proactively identify risk and drive resolution to systemic supply chain issues affecting quality, cost, delivery or lead times.
  • Manage & cultivate supplier relationships focused on operational performance inputs and drive continuous improvement via metrics reviews.
  • Monitor geopolitical market conditions, technology roadmaps and identify supply/demand challenges and opportunities.
  • On time Delivery: Measure, report and action to improve delivery performance, including manufacturing.
  • Communication of forecast, build plan review and delivery coordination with OEM partners
  • Ensure alignment between capacity plan priorities and supplier deliveries
  • Drive the hardware supply schedule to meet the build plan requirements and priorities, including operational readiness for new equipment, geographies and/or suppliers.
  • Ensure supplier mix is in alignment with awarded business splits as defined by commercial sourcing management
  • Drive implementation & adoption of new capabilities, and work to improve data systems & metrics to enhance supply visibility & accuracy.
  • Map, analyze and optimize manufacturing and assembly processes to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and increase productivity.
  • Collaborate with product quality engineering teams to design and implement automation solutions that improve manufacturing process reliability and reduce variability.
