SKILLS:

  • Strong working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, with a comprehensive understanding of all planning-related modules and their interdependencies—from sourcing raw materials to final product delivery.
  • Extensive, experience with SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP), encompassing all relevant modules and functionalities that influence or are influenced by planning activities, spanning the entire supply chain from procurement to customer delivery.
  • Excellence in communication and change management, effectively guiding cross-functional teams through systemic and process transitions by delivering clear messaging, fostering stakeholder engagement.
  • Data-Driven decision making, adept at analysing complex data sets to drive planning accuracy, identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience using and/or implementing SAP S/4HANA, with a focus on supply planning-related functions and features.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience using and/or implementing SAP IBP, including inventory optimization, supply planning (time-series and order-based).
  • Proven track record in working with S&OP, Response and Supply and Inventory Optimiser modules.
  • Experience in SAP Analytica Cloud (SAC) would be an advantage.
  • A visionary leader with the ability to think strategically and a strong commitment to excellence.
  • Enthusiastic about supply chain planning and deeply understands its impact on business success.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage organizational change.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline (master’s degree preferred), or relevant work experience.
  • Proven track record of leading system implementations and driving process standardization in a global organization.
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain principles, including demand planning, inventory optimization, and capacity planning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex, data-driven decision-making processes.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with experience working in a Centre of Excellence or similar environment.
  • Certification in SAP IBP or SAP S/4HANA is a plus.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a seasoned Global Supply Planning Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our Centre of Excellence team. The Global Supply Planning SME plays a key role in building a competitive supply chain that delivers on our promise of Forever Caring.
This role is instrumental in advancing the maturity of our supply planning processes by collaborating with supply chain leadership, IT, and other stakeholders to develop a global standard for supply planning across all business units and geographies.
Working closely with IT and supply chain leadership, this role will prioritize technology investments that enable us to fulfil our supply chain promise: delivering the right product, in the right place, at the right time, and at the right cost.
This position will directly impact Convatec’s ability to maintain a well-trained and capable planning team empowered to support the company’s growth and enhance the lives of our customers through trusted medical solutions.
Key measures of success include achieving targets for customer service levels, inventory management, and operating costs.

YOUR KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the SME within the Centre of Excellence, providing strategic direction and hands-on expertise in global supply planning initiatives.
  • Be the supply planning lead for the design, implementation, including UAT, and optimization of SAP IBP and SAP S/4HANA systems to support end-to-end supply chain processes.
  • Drive process standardisation and best practice adoption across regions to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Function as a key liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure the successful delivery of system implementations and upgrades.
  • Develop advanced supply planning processes to improve service levels, while balancing inventory and production efficiencies.
  • Provide expert training and support to regional and local planning teams on IBP functionalities and best practices.
  • Analyse key supply chain metrics and KPIs, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and delivering actionable recommendations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies to enhance supply chain effectiveness.
  • Collaborating as part of the Centre of Excellence team to promote ongoing enhancements in systems and processes across the Supply Chain.
  • Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions for demand planning issues or process inefficiencies.
