We are seeking a Global R&D Manager to lead the Discovery Biology, Insect and Nematode Control Group at our Stine Research Center in Newark, Delaware. This role is central to advancing the discovery of novel insecticidal and nematocidal active ingredients.
The successful candidate will bring deep scientific expertise in entomology, nematology, or crop protection, along with a strong track record of innovation and leadership in insecticide research. Possessing strong team leadership capabilities, the incumbent will oversee a dynamic insect and nematode control team, guide experimental design and execution across lab, greenhouse, and field studies, and collaborate cross-functionally. The Global R&D Manager prioritizes projects and resources, participates in technical discussions and decisions involving greenhouse and field biology testing, chemical structure-activity relationships, mode-of-action studies, regulatory, and analyses of environmental properties of experimental compounds.
As part of the Discovery Leadership Team, the Global R&D Manager will shape strategic research priorities, manage cross-discipline project teams, and ensure scientific excellence, safety, and alignment with FMC’s global R&D goals.
