As a Global Technical Support Technologist, you’ll deliver post-sales support for APREL’s current and next-generation systems. You’ll be responsible for commissioning, installation, diagnostics, testing, and troubleshooting complex technical issues, including system configuration and measurement application analysis.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Strong analytical skills for diagnosing and explaining complex problems
  • Expertise in debugging and troubleshooting integrated systems
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities
  • Familiarity with electronic and RF test equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, network analyzers)
  • Understanding of robotic systems and concepts

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Hands-on experience with Windows-based systems administration
  • Software programming and scripting (Java, basic code comprehension)
  • Technical support and test equipment operation experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience preferred (recent graduates with strong foundational knowledge will be considered)

Responsibilities

Follow established system commissioning procedures and system functional verification tests for robotic and RF instrumentation
System commissioning and validation responsibilities
Software regression and unit testing
Installation of robotic work cell, system validation of hardware modules operation
Deliver training and knowledge transfer to internal teams and customers
Collaborate with software development team in completing regression and unit testing of the software running on the system
Software installation and functional validation
Diagnose and troubleshoot APREL product issues; escalate when necessary
Resolve technical problems within the constraints of customer-installed hardware/software
Provide remote and phone-based support for APREL’s system portfolio
Offer after-hours support as needed, including scheduled maintenance windows
Light documentation of procedures for new parts and system features
Travel globally, sometimes on short notice (approx. 30%)
