Purpose of the job As a Global Yeast & Fermentation Laboratory Technical Developer, you will be responsible for yeast consumption monitoring in the breweries and ensure timely supply and stock for future brews to support global brewing and innovations. Moreover, you will perform specific physico-chemical, microbiological, and fermentation-related analyses to support the development of yeast and fermentation technologies of the future to improve quality, performance, and sustainability in the field of beer brewing and fermented beverages. Key Accountabilities Closely monitoring of yeast consumption in the breweries. Shipping of yeast to the breweries, ensuring the yeast arrives in time and without quality issues. Ensuring yeast stock matches the future demands through close contact with the different Zones, Breweries and Supply Chain Planning Departments. Assist in performing specific physico-chemical and microbiological analyses with precision and accuracy. Assist in performing lab-scale fermentation experiments & trials according to good laboratory practices and internal protocols. Apply aseptic techniques to ensure quality in the culturing and propagation of yeasts and other micro-organisms. Profile Master’s degree in relevant science or laboratory discipline (e.g. Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food chemistry) with strong affinity for logistics. Previous experience in a lab or logistic environment. Skills and Competencies Leadership skills: ownership mentality and being able to work effectively through cross-functional and international teams, and work with a high degree of self-coordination and independence. Results-oriented, solution-driven, problem solver; with strong attention to detail, quality, planning and deadlines. A mindset that embraces change as a natural part of business and demonstrates courage and optimism during times of crisis or change. Fluency in English (written/spoken); other languages are a plus. Proficient in standard software tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Effective oral and written communication skills.
