UGL’s is seeking 2 experienced Lineworkers to join our team supporting the Powercor metro distribution contract. We’re open to both: Qualified Glove & Barrier Lineworkers, and Experienced Distribution Lineworkers looking for a stable metro-based role Based out of our Tullamarine depot, this is a metro-focused position servicing Melbourne’s major distribution network — ideal for Lineworkers wanting to step away from rosters, travel, or FIFO, and return to a structured Monday–Friday lifestyle. You’ll join a safety-led, high-performing team, delivering essential network maintenance while enjoying consistency, predictability, and time at home. What You’ll Be Doing Overhead distribution linework across the metro network Live line Glove & Barrier work (where qualified) Fault response, planned maintenance and defect rectification Working on a busy, technically diverse metro network Collaborating within an experienced, professional crew focused on safety and quality outcomes What’s on Offer $71.59 per hour base rate for G&B Lineworkers Competitive rates for Distribution Lineworkers Monday–Friday work – Home every night Optional overtime – you choose when to take it Secure, ongoing work on a major Victorian distribution contract Strong safety culture, well-maintained fleet & quality tooling Relocation assistance available for interstate What You’ll Need Certificate III in ESI – Distribution Overhead For G&B applicants: Glove & Barrier qualification and live line experience For Distribution applicants: strong overhead network experience Victorian Lineworker Registration (Orange Card) HR Driver’s Licence High Risk Work Licences – EWP, Dogging and/or Rigging (highly regarded) White Card, First Aid, CPR and relevant industry tickets Please note a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screening test will be required.
