Position Description: • Adjusts and runs the gluing machine Essential Functions: • Responsible for operation of folding/gluing equipment• Feeds Gluer • Assist on make-readies• Responsible for accurate record keeping, production sheets.• Responsible for quality of product and efficiency of production.• Communicates relevant information to facilitate the flow of production. • Performs preventative maintenance on equipment. • Perform make ready’s on all straight line and autobottom boxes• General clean up.• Follows all company policies and procedures. • Attends and participates in ongoing training. • Not limited to and including other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Required: • Grade 12 or acceptable experience.• On-the-job related experience required. Skills and Physical Requirement: • Employees must be both familiar and able to adhere to company safety policies and government legislation (i.e. Occupational Health and Safety Act). • Respects individuals, the organization, authority, the community and the team. • Can work in teams.• Autonomous. • Ability to adapt.• Ability to take initiative. • Good communication skills.• Good physical condition and capable of heavy lifting. • Strong trouble shooting skills.• Ability to lead change.
