The Opportunity
Reporting to QBE’s Managing Director for our Business Insurance division, the newly created General Manager, Agency & Specialty brings together the leadership of our Agency and Specialty portfolios. In this role you will have a mandate to drive profitable growth, operational excellence, and market influence across diverse segments including Aviation, Construction, and Builders Warranty.
As a senior leader in this major insurance business, you will shape and execute integrated strategies that deliver commercial outcomes, strengthen intermediary relationships, and elevate QBE’s presence in the specialty insurance market.
Your New Role
The GM Agency and Specialty will oversee the performance, planning, and strategic direction of both Agency and Specialty business units, leading a team of subject matter experts and senior managers, ensuring alignment with QBE’s broader business objectives while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and engagement.
You will be responsible for translating strategy into operational plans, managing budgets and forecasts, and driving financial performance. You’ll also act as a key representative for QBE in partner negotiations, ensuring win-win outcomes and long-term value creation.
