Overview As the Commercial Lead for Snack business, this position will be responsible to develop and grow a sustainable snacks business to grow share, volume & profitability in Bangladesh. This role is the main sponsor for all initiatives related to the business (brands, plants, market place execution). While being responsible for expanding the business in Bangladesh, it will also be required to set up the base to enable a JV snacks business in Bangladesh in the medium term. This will be achieved by setting the strategy, developing and delivering an Annual Operating Plan and building organizational capability throughout the business Responsibilities As the Foods GM, Area Countries, the key accountabilities will include : Building strategy, develop and gain BU & Transcom leadership approval for a broad based Strategic Plan for the business. This will encompass: business goals, sales and marketing plans, investment requirements, organizational development and manufacturing strategy including the Bangladesh Agro program. Develop each year AOP inline with the strategic plan and gain Board approval. The AOP shall include details of Capital Spending , Suppliers, Marketing Plans, Human Resource plans and Customer Development plans leading to volume, NR and NOPBT delivery. Develop strategy and introduce the iconic snacks brands in the regoin including development new ones for the local market Responsible for developing and gaining Board approval for a comprehensive policies/procedures manual covering all aspects of the Snacks business Lead the development of an organization across all business functions capable of supporting the needs of the current and future growth plan Deliver accurate and timely reporting within the requirements laid down by the Board Support the sales effort with front line leadership and providing senior management interface to key customers Define, nurture an operating culture that enhances team morale and contribution Foster good relationships with communities and governmental organizations and ensure that the organization remains compliant and a good corporate citizen Proactively manage the interface and relationship with all relevant partners (PepsiCo & Transcom) aligning around business goals and strategies and optimizing resources such as best practice tools Qualifications MBA from Premier Institute with 15+ years’ experience Demonstrated functional expertise with a FMCG company for a minimum of 7 years in a Sales managerial role. At least 2 years’ experience managing a region handling sales teams 3- 5 yrs of experience as a business manager preferred Experience in Foods and Beverage Industry would be preferred Strong people and communication skills Able to manage complexity of several companies and cultures Excellent knowledge of Beverage manufacturing High level of Executive maturity Capability to build short / medium / long term plans to support business strategic priorities. Analytical thinker with strong drive for results Ability to lead, develop and motivate others, including senior level internally and in third party franchises/suppliers Ability to lead, train and influence others without authority Thrives well in a busy and demanding environment
