Description Job Summary Join our GM/HBC Team part time (10-15 hours/week on average). On average the hours for this position will be Mondays and Fridays from 10am-4pm. GM/HBC Specialists ensure store profitability by keeping General Merchandise and Health & Beauty Care (HBC) shelves stocked with fresh products. They contribute to Mackenthun's Exceptional Experience by greeting customers, offering assistance, and answering inquiries. Key Responsibilities Inventory Management: Stock, merchandise, face, rotate, and restock products. Maintain cleanliness and organization of department shelves. Minimize department losses through proper product handling and storage. Safeguard company equipment, resources, and image. Customer Service: Ensure exceptional service in both General Merchandise and HBC departments. Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming department environment. Benefits Summary Part Time: Earned Safe & Sick Time. Previous customer service and retail experience preferred. Skills & Competencies: Basic math skills required. Ability to communicate professionally in English. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to prioritize and efficiently perform duties. Interest in food and promoting Mackenthun’s Exceptional Experience. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Proficient in Windows, Word, Excel, and Internet usage. Willingness to learn about products and services offered at Mackenthun’s. Working Conditions, Physical Demands and Availability Part time hours Mondays and Fridays 10am - 4pm. These hours may change slightly to accommodate business needs. Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 30 lbs. Ability to lift/push/pull up to 1,500 lbs. with a pallet jack. Exposure to hot/cold environments and cleaning chemicals. Ability to work in fast-paced settings with varying temperatures.
