About the Role As General Manager – Intelligence & Applications, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Summerset’s digital future. With accountability for enterprise applications, digital platforms and AI‑driven automation, you will ensure technology delivers tangible business impact—reducing core costs, improving design and construction outcomes, and enhancing the resident experience. Reporting to the Chief Digital Officer, you will lead Summerset’s Digital Framework and multi‑year roadmap, delivering large‑scale digital and automation initiatives across the business. You will translate strategy into secure, scalable and future‑focused solutions, while building and leading a high‑performing specialist team. Your Day‑to‑Day Will Include: Designing and delivering a multi‑year digital and AI roadmap aligned to Summerset’s business strategy. Leading the delivery of multiple large enterprise‑wide digital and automation solutions across core business processes and operational areas. Establishing standards, frameworks and foundations for application and AI design, ensuring scalability, security and sustainability. Building, developing and leading a highly engaged Intelligence & Applications team, with the right balance of internal capability and partner support. Evaluating and recommending emerging technologies that strengthen Summerset’s competitive advantage. Ensuring solutions are well‑designed, fit for purpose and aligned to enterprise architecture. Optimising technology vendors and partners to ensure value for money and delivery excellence. Defining and tracking KPIs to measure the success and impact of digital and AI initiatives. Providing clear reporting and insights to ELT and senior stakeholders on progress, risks and outcomes. About You You’re an experienced digital and technology leader with strong commercial acumen and a passion for using modern platforms, data and AI to drive real business outcomes. You’re comfortable operating at executive level, influencing across functions, and turning complex technology concepts into practical, value‑focused solutions. You’ll Also Bring: A tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline. Extensive senior experience in digital development, enterprise applications, automation or IT architecture. Strong knowledge of modern ICT practices, including DevSecOps. Deep understanding of enterprise systems, cloud platforms, data management, integration and security. Proven experience developing and delivering technology roadmaps aligned to business objectives. Demonstrated people leadership experience with the ability to lead, influence and inspire. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. A collaborative, proactive and solutions‑focused approach, with high integrity and accountability.
