Job Summary: The Service Dispatcher is responsible to ensure work is done in a timely manner and that work is assigned to the proper technicians. Must be organized and a clear communicator. This person will manage the shop flow with the goal of increasing production hours and shop efficiency. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Dispatch work to service technicians in a way that optimizes productivity of the service department; Monitors for productivity issues throughout the day/week and adjusts assignments as necessary; Communicates job status with the Advisors, Shop Foreman and Service Manager; Monitors status of part arrivals, orders, and back orders; Monitors appointment schedule in reference to work flow of shop; Performs other related duties consistent with the role and function of the specification as assigned. This does not preclude management from assigning additional, though unrelated, duties. Requirements Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Excellent time management skills; Excellent organization skills and attention to detail; Experience in Automotive Service a plus.
