We are looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for our Graduate Medical Education (GME) enterprise line of business, where excellence creates excellence. This position will be based in Brentwood, TN.

JOB SUMMARY AND QUALIFICATIONS

As the enterprise GME CFO, you will interact with GME leadership, PSG financial management teams including PSG CFO, Corporate and PSG Accounting, and Group, Division, and Hospital operating teams. Financial and operational activities include: Financial Analytics for GME, GME Financial Reporting including all program revenues and costs (e.g.. hospital departments, hospital COIDs, PSG practices, IME/DME reimbursement, etc.), financial proformas and projections, budgeting, policy support and development. This also includes participation in the month-end close process involving analytics, report preparation, MOR Reviews, and interaction with the Group CFOs & Controllers

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance, required

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-5 years of healthcare accounting and/or finance experience required;
  • Graduate Medical Education experience highly preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of accounting theory, principles and practices sufficient to identify and describe accounting systems and sub-systems
  • Knowledge of the financial accounting process
  • Knowledge of research techniques to analyze and evaluate financial data and information
  • Knowledge of accounting information systems
  • Proficiency with PC-based spreadsheet program – Excel, including the proficient use of Pivot Tables
  • Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion and decision-making to achieve organizational goals
  • Skill in identifying and resolving problems quickly
  • Effective organizational skills
  • Ability to interact and work well with Senior Management, all levels of management, and colleagues
  • Ability to identify and self-direct work appropriately
  • Ability to analyze financial reports
  • Ability to prepare statistical and narrative accounting reports
  • Ability to perform mathematical computations quickly and accurately
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written

  • Ability to pull and report data from MicroStrategy - preferred
  • Ability to pull and report data using the Essbase Add-In query function - preferred

Responsibilities
  • Create and prepare financial reports that capture the value of GME across HCA
  • Assist GME and PSG leadership in all areas assigned with emphasis on financial analysis and reporting and proformas creation
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of Graduate Medical Education programs, program administration, and financials
  • Drive timeliness, accuracy and completeness of financial reports to meet specified deadlines
  • Partner with senior leadership to develop and report standard financial data sets
  • Prepare various reports which summarize and forecast business activity and financial position, including Monthly Operating Reports (MOR)
  • Review monthly financial variance reports to support operations with performance reviews
  • Review monthly reports for key indicators and statistics
  • Assist Group, Division, and Hospital operations as needed with financial information requests and questions
  • Prepare and coordinate distribution of monthly reports or returns required by regulatory agencies
  • Coordinate the annual budget process for GME
  • Ensure that all processing and reporting deadlines are consistently achieved
  • Maintain strict confidentiality to ensure that privileged and/or proprietary information is adequately safeguarded against disclosure
  • Participate in ongoing professional development activities to remain informed of changing industry trends and government regulations
  • Drive and adhere to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement” standards
