GME, Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator - Clinical Research - Days - FT

The GME, Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator, under supervision of the Clinical Research Manager and Principal Investigator(s), provides clinical and technical guidance and support to the day-to-day operational management of clinical research projects conducted at Memorial Hospital at Gulfport within the GME and Clinical Research Department. The Nurse Coordinator is primarily responsible for the accurate completion of visit procedures and collection of information from study patients according to protocols, and for protecting the health, safety, and welfare of research participants. The Nurse Coordinator will ensure all relevant regulations, guidelines and standards, and compliance with all funding agency policies are followed. Expectation is for all performed duties to be in accordance with Health System’s procedures and policies, accreditation regulations, and appropriate Federal guidelines.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Associate’s Degree graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing
Licensure: Current MS license as required for profession or temporary permit (valid for 90 days) for same, or compact license
Experience: Three (3) years recent clinical nursing experience in a hospital, clinic, or similar health care setting

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in nursing with college courses in management, statistics, and research
Certification: Certificate from Clinical Research professional organization (i.e. SoCRA, ACRP)
Experience: At least one (1) year clinical research experience. Data management background. Working knowledge of techniques and methodologies used in developing, coordinating, and managing clinical research projects. One (1) year experience in an independent functional capacity such as charge nurse or a supervisory position
