Description:

The Content Platform team is looking for a motivated and driven Golang engineer who will help us shape our team, drive the company to the next level, and have the most direct influence on our success.
The team works closely with eCommerce, Marketing, and Customer Service to provide ideal entry points into Flix’s customer-facing web properties. We develop the business’s homepage, Content Management System (CMS), demand-driven search engine landing pages, and an interactive map that allows users to explore Flix’s destinations.
Working with us means you’ll be building the very first touchpoint most customers have with Flix, be it a direct visit to the homepage or a city-related landing page reached through a Google search. Your releases will be viewed and interacted with by a very large audience.

You’ll be joining an open-minded and easy-going team that currently consists of 4 Software Engineers and a UI/UX Expert. Our tech stack mainly consists of:

  • Backend: Go, ArangoDB, MySQL, Confluent Kafka, Snowflake, GraphQL + different AWS services
  • Frontend: server-side rendered HTML + JavaScript, Typescript, React

Responsibilities:

  • As part of the cross-functional, self-organised team, you work iteratively on implementing sustainable solutions that deliver business value and are backed by a well-designed implementation that is easy to change, self-documenting, and well-tested.
  • You are responsible for developing, building, and maintaining our Homepage, Automated Landing Pages, and Exploration Map for all Flix markets.
  • A strong team player with expertise in Agile methodologies, valuing close collaboration, shared responsibilities, and iterative development.
  • As part of your daily work, you work closely with your fellow team members, for example in pair and mob programming, doing code reviews and testing.
  • You analyse, propose, and drive technology improvements.
  • You proactively seek to learn new technologies and gain a deeper insight into the business domain.
  • You enjoy sharing your expertise and helping both within your team and outside of it.
  • You support our agile, flexible, team-oriented development.
