Description

Goldman Sachs’ Private Credit team sits on the private side of the Asset Management Division. Private Credit is one of the world’s largest alternative credit investing platforms with investment professionals based in the US, Europe, Asia and Australia. Private Credit originates investments and invests third-party capital across senior secured loans, mezzanine/unsecured debt, preferred equity and opportunistic credit supporting buyouts led by Private Equity sponsors. The Private Credit team in Europe is a top tier platform in the European direct lending market and is consistently involved in the largest direct lending transactions.

QUALIFICATION

  • Investment Banking and Private Credit/Direct Lending candidate with 2 to 4 years experience
  • Strong quantitative, financial modelling, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Passion for investing with specific interest in credit / other structured products
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexible and creative mindset; ability to analyze a variety of industries and businesses
  • Ability to self-direct, analyze and evaluate and form independent judgments
  • Ability to interact and build relationships with a wide variety of people
Responsibilities
  • Originating investment ideas across the product suite of Credit via early engagement with relevant parties (e.g., financial sponsors / company management teams)
  • Engaging in all aspects of due diligence and business analysis to develop and refine investment theses
  • Participating in structuring, negotiating and documenting investments
  • Communicating and defending investment theses to internal stakeholders and committees, including relevant AMD and Firm-wide Investment Committees
  • Actively monitoring existing investments in the portfolio
  • Building relationships with sponsors, management teams and internal GS stakeholders
