Williamwood Golf Club have an exciting opportunity for a Club Manager to join the team due to impending retirement of the present post holder.
Job Type: Full Time, permanent Role
Location: Williamwood Golf Club, 690 Clarkston Road, Clarkston, Glasgow, G44 3YR
Salary: £40,000-£45,000 Dependant on experience
Hours: 40 Hours per week (Attendance at monthly Committee meetings/ AGM in evenings will also be required)
Experience / understanding of a Private members Golf Club would be advantageous.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Leadership & Team Management – Strong ability to lead and motivate a diverse team, providing clear direction, fostering a positive work environment, and developing staff to reach their full potential.
Financial Acumen – Excellent understanding of budgeting, financial reporting, and cost management to ensure the Club operates within budget. Procurement of vendors/ supply contracts on acceptable terms.
Customer Service Excellence – A keen focus on delivering outstanding customer service, with the ability to anticipate member needs, address complaints, and continuously improve the member experience.
Problem-Solving & Decision-Making – The ability to think critically, address operational challenges, and make informed decisions to ensure the smooth running of the Club at all times.
Health & Safety & Compliance Knowledge – In-depth knowledge of Health & Safety, and industry-specific regulations, with a strong ability to implement and enforce these standards to maintain a safe and legal environment.

Responsibilities

Operational Management – Oversee the daily operations of the Golf Club, ensuring all departments (front of house, kitchen, bar, liaise with Course Manager and Club Professional) run smoothly and meet quality standards, ensuring member / guest satisfaction.
Staff Leadership & Development – Lead, manage, and motivate the team, including recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and fostering a positive work culture to ensure high staff morale and productivity.
Financial Management – Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and performance analysis / monthly reporting, ensuring that the Club meets its revenue targets, controlling costs, and maximising profitability.
Member Relations & Service Excellence – Ensure a consistently high standard of service is maintained by addressing customer feedback, resolving complaints, and implementing initiatives to enhance the member /guest experience.
Compliance & Health & Safety – Ensure compliance with all health & safety, and licensing regulations, conducting regular checks to maintain a safe and legal operating environment for both staff and members.
