Description JOB TITLE: Golf Maintenance Crew | Seasonal JOB SUMMARY: Performs basic maintenance tasks associated with achieving a high standard of conditioning. REPORTS TO: Golf & Grounds Superintendent PRIMARY DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS: On a seasonal basis, participate actively in the following tasks: Perform daily golf course set up. Hand-raking of the golf course sand bunkers. Daily maintenance and cleaning of the practice range area. Edging of the irrigation sprinkler heads and fairway yardage plaques. RESPONSIBLE FOR: Personal uniforms PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Job requires active work all day long; including being on your feet, walking, stretching, lifting up to 50 pounds, pushing and pulling. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Work takes place primarily outside and includes all types of adverse weather conditions, including heat, rain, snow and cold. Work schedule includes holidays and weekends. Hours would be between 10-25 per week. HAZARDS ENCOUNTERED: Typical hazards associated with outside physical labor. Care should be taken to avoid over exposure to heat and cold while working outdoors. Precautionary measures should also be taken against insects by using an insect repellent, proper attire, etc. PRIOR EXPERIENCE: None required. After training, must know how to perform all required tasks satisfactorily. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have the ability to read, write and understand English. SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge of the game of golf preferred but not required. PERSONALITY REQUIREMENTS: Ability to work with co-workers, communicate with supervisors as needed. Must be willing to follow directions and prescribed procedures in order to work safely and efficiently. Must be capable of working productively without direct supervision.
