Title: Golf Operations Assistant Reports to: Golf Services Supervisor & Head Golf Professional Location: Inverness, Nova Scotia, Canada About Cabot Cape Breton Located on over three miles of sandy beach along the coast of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia—and nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the picturesque town of Inverness—Cabot Cape Breton is Canada’s first and only authentic links golf resort. Featuring 46 holes of exhilarating golf, including two acclaimed World Top 100 courses, 72 rooms of award-winning accommodation, 19 luxury Golf Villas, with 22 additional homes currently under construction, and exquisite dining in three on-site restaurants, Cabot Cape Breton is intended to excite and inspire at every turn. Position Overview The Golf Operations Attendant will play a key role in ensuring the success of a variety of areas within the golf operation. Working closely alongside the Golf Services Supervisors GSS, the Golf Operations Attendant is expected to maintain and exceed the world-class service standards at Cabot Cape Breton while assisting resort guests during their entire golf experience. Core Competencies Operational Excellence • Greet all guests in a warm and professional manner - make guests feel welcome and anticipate their needs • Recognize and welcome all new and returning guests with “Welcome to Cabot” or “Welcome back to Cabot Mr./Mrs./etc.” • Assist guests with their golf clubs, set them up on push carts, ensure that the bag is suitable for the caddie when caddies are booked, provide a medical cart when required, and provide club storage services as requested • Provide information and direction to guests to ensure their needs are met and exceeded • Streamline the check in process for resort guests by efficiently communicating with professional shop team members • Responsible for the organization, distribution, general maintenance and cleanliness of all smaller operational vehicles such as medical carts, push carts, house keeping and food and beverage vehicles • Ensure all visible guest areas are clean and presentable at all times • Maintain and uphold the policies, procedures, and reporting of the golf operations as required • Implement any new processes, policies, and procedures as assigned by management • Follow and implement all policies and procedures for the guest rental club program • Maintain the tagging and storage systems in place for guest golf clubs, and clubs arriving/departing by Shipsticks and other shipping methods • Prepare and maintain all golf operational areas including but not limited to Cabot Links and Cabot Cliffs staging areas, Golf Service Supervisor GSS stations, and practice area facilities to meet and exceed Cabot service standards • Set up, maintain, and clean-up the golf academy and practice areas • Be aware of daily hotel activities, group, and VIP arrivals • Preparation and distribution of all guest golf operational amenity items • Offer assistance to all guests and provide them with requested information and directions, personally escorting the guest whenever possible • Assist guests with information on resort amenities, community and surrounding areas, and directions • Focus attention on guest needs, always remaining calm and courteous • Positive and proactive communication with resort guests and team members • Comply with Cabot health and safety legislation • Complete other duties as assigned by management Qualifications • High school diploma • Must possess a valid driver’s licence and provide a clear driver’s abstract • Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service • Enthusiastic, positive, authentic, engaging, and high energy • Excellent grooming and personal appearance standards Physical Demands • Long hours moving around, walking, sitting, standing, and crouching while performing other duties is to be expected • Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and otherwise moving luggage, golf clubs, and objects up to 50 lbs in weight
