This is an overall summary of the main function that the incumbent in this position performs.
The Golf Operations Attendant will be a vital part of the team during day-to-day golf operations and member services. This position reports directly to the Associate, Assistant, and Head Golf Professionals. Within this role, the applicant will be expected to uphold world-class service, timeliness, cleanliness, and organization skills. The expectations of this role are to provide the membership with world-class customer service and proudly represent St. George’s Golf Club on a day-to-day basis.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

. Grade 12 or 4 years work related experience.
· Available week day mornings 7:00am to 3:00pm
· Fast, efficient and accurate.
· Well-groomed and courteous.
· Eager-to learn and react in pressure situations.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Drivers license.
· Able to work when the job requires; Saturdays, Sundays, All Holidays, etc.
· May work a split shift or late hours.
· Ability to work in a pressured, high-volume area.
· Ability to lift 50 lbs.
· Ability to stand for extended periods.

BENEFICIAL SKILLS:

· Golf Savvy - has worked in the golf industry previously or has experience with playing the game of golf.
· Positive energy, enthusiastic, engaging.

Responsibilities
  • Setting-up, maintaining, and cleaning up the driving range/practice facility. This includes picking up golf balls, refilling ball crates, cleaning off the chipping green, cleaning member clubs, and helping them with their golf bags.
  • Taking care, cleaning, and organizing member’s golf clubs.
  • Greeting members and guests as they enter the property while being the front gate attendant and while performing day-to-day golf operations duties.
  • Cleaning and maintaining golf carts to the highest standards.
  • Serving and maintenance of cleanliness of all areas.
  • To greet members in a positive and friendly manner.
  • Must follow all appropriate fire and emergency procedures.
  • To be knowledgeable about the employee handbook and to follow all the policies within the St Georges GC.
  • Setting up the staging area each morning with carts, towels, water, member golf clubs, and push carts to start the day.
  • To be responsible for bar duties in other areas as assigned.
  • Engaging members with a positive attitude and ready to help.
  • Seasonal employment, may require to work holidays and late nights.
  • Be versatile and ready to assist the golf operation overall.
