Druids Glen Hotel and Golf Resort is seeking to hire a Golf Operations & Services Assistant to join our highly successful team. The hours involved will include day shifts and will include mid-week and weekend work.
The Golf Operations & Services Assistant plays a key role in delivering an exceptional member and guest experience. This role ensures that all golfers receive a warm welcome, monitors the pace of play on the golf courses, and maintains the outside service areas including golf carts, trolleys, bag drop, and practice facilities. The position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, service-minded attitude.

Responsibilities

STARTER DUTIES

  • Greet members and guests warmly and professionally
  • Provide a welcoming arrival experience by assisting with golf bags, carts, and directions
  • Review and communicate golf course rules, policies, and etiquette
  • Inform players of any unusual course conditions or restrictions
  • Ensure groups tee off at their scheduled times
  • Record transportation use (golf carts, trolleys and caddies)

MARSHAL DUTIES

  • Monitor pace of play across the golf course and encourage groups to maintain proper timing
  • Engage with players to provide guidance and recommend solutions to on-course issues
  • Report course play updates to the golf shop staff at regular intervals
  • Repair ball marks, fill divots, and support general course presentation
  • Deliver messages or assistance to players when required

OUTSIDE SERVICE DUTIES

  • Provide bag drop services, including greeting players, unloading bags, and staging them for play
  • Assist members and guests with loading/unloading bags from carts, trolleys, or vehicles
  • Prepare and stage golf carts and trolleys for daily use
  • Clean, fuel/charge, and store carts and trolleys before and after play
  • Maintain outside service areas in a clean, organised condition
  • Support practice range operations, including ball collection and replenishment

GENERAL DUTIES

  • Provide friendly and professional customer service at all times
  • Act as an ambassador of the golf club, promoting a positive image and experience
  • Step in to assist in other areas of golf operations when requested by supervisors or management
  • Follow all health, safety, and club policies
