POSITION SUMMARY:

In accordance with the principles of Greystone Golf & Country Club, the golf shop attendant will provide the utmost hospitable service to members & their guests and create raving fans by providing a positive experience to golfers, maintaining the merchandise and order of the shop, conducting cleaning and inventory, and any other responsibility within the detailed department and company standards.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Must be available to work holidays and weekends.
• Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours.
• Two years retail sales experience (preferred).
• Three years customer service experience (preferred).
• Basic knowledge and understanding of golf and its rules.

• Greets & welcomes members/guests as they arrive for play.
• Creates appealing visual displays to enhance sales.
• Communicates constantly with Head Golf Professional.
• Assists at golf related member events.
• Checks in members for their tee times and updates any information needed.
• Answers golf shop phones and answers questions, makes tee times, etc.
• Charges members & guests for golf rounds, cart fees, merchandise, etc.
• Assists Golf professionals with daily tasks and Director of Golf with golf tournaments.
• Cleans and tidies golf shop.
• Performs inventory counts at the beginning of each month.
• Ensures all vendor accounts are settled in a timely manner via monthly statements and working closely with accounting.
• Receives shipments, unboxes them, and prices merchandise.
