Overview
McInnis Park Golf Center is seeking a Pro Shop Manager to oversee all aspects of Pro Shop operations at one of Marin County’s most active golf facilities. This is a non-teaching position that emphasizes team leadership, daily shop operations, tournament and league coordination, guest services, and staff management.
The ideal candidate will have experience in golf operations, hospitality, or retail management, and will thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. This is a great next step for an Assistant Golf Professional looking to move into management, or for a retail or restaurant manager with a passion for golf.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of Pro Shop Attendants, providing training, scheduling, and coaching to ensure strong performance
  • Oversee daily golf operations, including tee sheet flow, guest check-in, point of sale transactions, and customer service
  • Open and close the Pro Shop, maintain professional standards of cleanliness, and ensure merchandising displays are neat and appealing
  • Manage league and tournament bookings, working directly with group organizers on logistics and scheduling
  • Ensure rental clubs are maintained, cleaned, and ready for daily use
  • Handle cash management duties including deposits, reconciliation, and financial tracking
  • Collaborate with F&B and Marketing teams to support promotions, cross-departmental events, and social media updates
  • Assist with sales initiatives, promotions, and customer retention strategies
  • Uphold company policies and high standards of guest service at all times
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Operations

Requirements

  • Proven experience in golf operations, hospitality, or retail management
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate staff
  • Familiarity with POS and scheduling systems (Teesnap, Toast, Workday, Deputy, or similar)
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a busy environment
  • Basic financial management experience (cash handling, deposits, reporting)
  • A genuine passion for golf and delivering an excellent guest experience

Work Schedule & Physical Demands

  • Five days per week on-site, including early mornings, evenings, holidays and weekends
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Fast-paced environment with significant customer interaction
