As a Golf Staff Professional, you will play a key role in supporting the Director of Golf and overseeing the daily operations of the golf facility. From golf shop management and retail services to tournament coordination and instruction, you’ll help ensure smooth operations while delivering outstanding service. This position is ideal for a passionate golf professional who thrives in a guest-focused environment and takes pride in promoting the game of golf at the highest level. Key Responsibilities * Golf Operations & Guest Experience: Assist in managing daily golf operations, including tee time bookings, golfer check-ins, and opening and closing procedures to ensure seamless service. * Retail & Golf Shop Management: Oversee golf shop operations, including merchandising, purchasing, pricing, inventory control, and maintaining a clean, organized retail environment. * Team Leadership & Training: Train and supervise golf shop attendants and outside service associates in P.O.S. systems, sales techniques, service standards, and operational procedures. * Outside Services Excellence: Support and oversee outside services, including cart staging, maintenance, pace-of-play monitoring, and guest direction to elevate the on-course experience. * Events, Tournaments & Outings: Actively participate in planning and executing member tournaments, group outings, and special golf events to ensure flawless execution. * Golf Instruction & Player Development: Provide professional golf instruction to individuals and groups as scheduled, demonstrating a strong understanding of the golf swing and teaching techniques. * Member & Guest Relations: Foster goodwill by engaging with members and guests on and off the course, creating meaningful connections and memorable experiences. * Rules, Safety & Standards: Enforce course rules and company policies to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and respectful environment for all players. * Professional Development: Attend PGA meetings, educational seminars, and industry events to stay current with trends, standards, and best practices. * Team Collaboration: Promote a positive work culture and actively support the collaborative efforts of the resort’s golf and hospitality teams.
