To support growth and seasonal peaks, we’re hiring an experienced Stock Controller to own inventory accuracy and availability across the business.

THE ROLE

You’ll be hands-on at the inbound dock: checking deliveries, completing quality and temperature checks, booking stock into the ERP/WMS, and getting items to the right locations fast. You’ll work closely with Warehouse, Production and Purchasing to protect availability for D2C orders, especially during seasonal peaks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Receive & book-in deliveries (ingredients, packaging, WIP, finished goods) and raise GRNs in real time.
· Carry out QA checks on arrival: temperature probing, count/condition checks, BBE/use-by & batch/lot capture, allergen verification.
· Print/apply labels and ensure items are put away to the correct zones (chilled/frozen/ambient) following FEFO/FIFO.
· Quarantine non-conforming stock, record issues and escalate to the Supply Chain Manager/Purchasing for resolution.
· Keep inbound work areas audit-ready (HACCP/BRCGS): hygiene, segregation, records, and probe calibration logs.
· Maintain accurate ERP/WMS transactions (receipts, transfers, adjustments) and tidy documentation for audits.
· Monitor and top-up packaging consumables (boxes, insulation, gel packs, labels) to support D2C dispatch.
· Support cycle counts/stock takes and simple root-cause checks on variances.
· Communicate delivery ETAs and issues with colleagues; update teams to protect pick/pack service levels.
· Contribute to 5S/continuous improvement ideas to reduce errors and dock-to-stock time.
