Description

At Cutter & Squidge, we’re passionate about creating delicious, innovative treats and we’re looking for a dedicated Goods In & Inventory Operative to join our team.

Responsibilities

As our Goods In & Inventory Operative, you’ll be the backbone of our inventory management and Warehouse flow. Reporting to the Production & Warehouse Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Accurately receiving, unloading, and inspecting incoming deliveries, noting any discrepancies or damages.
  • Recording all goods in our Warehouse Management System (Linnworks is a plus!) and ensuring they’re stored correctly.
  • Conducting regular inventory counts (daily cycle counts, weekly/monthly stock takes) to maintain accuracy and investigate any variances.
  • Managing chilled, frozen, and dry stock in line with Food Safety and company guidelines.
  • Organising stock areas effectively using FIFO principles for safe and efficient rotation.
  • Safely operating our counterbalance forklift and other warehouse equipment for loading and unloading (training can be provided if you’re not experienced with counterbalance).
  • Assisting the Despatch team with order preparation, including organising picks, packing, and palletising.
  • Maintaining a clean, tidy, and organised warehouse and stock areas, adhering to all health, safety, and food safety standards.
  • Monitoring inventory levels to prevent production delays and ensure key ingredients are always available.
  • Collaborating effectively with Production, Despatch, and Operations teams to optimise stock flow and meet deadlines.
  • Actively supporting colleagues across various warehouse functions and participating in cross-department support.
