GOODS IN OPERATIVE – FULL TIME

Location: Helix Precision Machining Limited, Unit 5 Global Business Park Hamburg Road Hull HU7 0AE

Hours: 38 hours per week

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm (30-minute lunch break at 12:30pm)
  • Friday: 8:00am – 2:00pm
  • Overtime:
  • Available at 1.5x hourly rate

We are currently looking for a reliable and proactive Goods In Operative to join our team and support our growing production demands.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or engineering environment preferred
  • Familiarity with MRP systems (Access FactoryMaster experience is a plus)
  • Physically fit – this is an active, hands-on role
  • Good attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work as part of a small, dedicated team
  • Forklift licence (desirable but not essential)

Responsibilities
  • Accurately receive and book in goods and raw materials using our MRP system (Access FactoryMaster)
  • Check incoming deliveries for accuracy and quality
  • Label and store materials in an organised and safe manner
  • Operate a CNC saw to cut raw materials to precise sizes as per job requirements
  • Ensure materials are cut, labelled, and prepared efficiently for production
  • Perform basic maintenance checks on the CNC saw and keep it clean and safe for operation
  • Prepare and package goods for dispatch according to company and customer specifications
  • Assist with general labouring duties such as workshop tidying, moving stock, and supporting machine operators where needed
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to ensure smooth stock flow
