We’re looking for a dependable and driven Goods In Operative to join our energetic team in Stowmarket. This is a full-time, fixed-term role running until 31st July 2026, working 12-hour shifts on an any 5 from 7 basis. The role follows a 3-week rotating shift pattern: Week 1: Days (06:00–18:00, Mon–Fri) Week 2: Nights (18:00–06:00, Sun–Tue) Week 3: Nights (18:00–06:00, Wed–Fri) This rota totals 186 shifts per year and includes both day and night work. This is an excellent opportunity for someone comfortable with a dynamic shift pattern, looking to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced logistics environment. What you will do on a typical day: Putaway pallets into warehouse racking from Goods Inwards Unload and tip trailers, managing incoming stock efficiently Operate conveyor systems to unload and retrieve pallets Replenish stock across pick locations Support with general warehouse duties, including housekeeping, stock checks, and assisting other departments What you need to succeed at GXO: Valid Forklift Truck (FLT) license – Counterbalance and/or Reach Truck preferred Proven experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment Ability to follow health & safety guidelines and standard operating procedures Good attention to detail and strong teamwork skills Flexibility to adapt to different tasks and areas as needed.
