JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking to recruit a dynamic and experienced Warehouse Supervisor who is familiar with Warehouse and stock management systems. We are a well-established company who are looking to invest in developing their warehousing operation on a substantial scale. The ideal candidate will be someone looking for a challenge; and is ready to take a key role in running our busy site in BIRMINGHAM. We are looking to recruit someone with a proven track record of leadership within a busy, fast paced warehouse, as well as strong leadership and problem-solving skills. The Warehouse Supervisor will assist the Warehouse Manager in Staff Management, inventory control, warehouse Health & Safety, and receipt, storage and dispatch of a wide range of goods.
REPORTING TO: Warehouse Manager

STAFF SUPERVISION AND ROTA SCHEDULING

• Take responsibility for ensuring we provide a quality customer orientated service.
• Take responsibility in staff performance management and day-to-day supervision.
• To supervise and guide staff where appropriate and line manage according to company policy and management decisions.
• To identify training needs, and manage a training programme for staff development.
• To prepare and present reports of findings and make recommendations for remedial action where appropriate.
• To plan and coordinate duty, break and lunch rota including weekend rota
• Take formal staff review annually or as directed and report to line manager
• Organise workload of other team members.
• Coordinate the Warehousing function, on issues of stock replenishment, stock inwards, staffing etc.
• To assist with grievance, capability and grievance issues after seeking advice from Head Office HR.
• Ensure adequate cover is available in the warehouse at all times.
• Ensure all vehicles are loaded in a timely manner
