Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As a Goods Receiver, you will receive goods and deliveries for the site and distribute to the relevant departments. You will be responsible for checking the quality and specification of all deliveries to ensure they meet the set requirements whilst reporting all discrepancies to the Procurement Coordinator and the kitchen team. This is a manual role where computer literacy is also required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receive goods and check against delivery notes and Purchase Orders
  • Record any discrepancies accurately.
  • Organise and store away the goods received in the dry store, refrigeration/freezer as appropriate, and within the required timeframe.
  • Ensure goods are stored in a correct stock rotation manner, first in first out.
  • Reconcile invoices according to the polices set out by the company
  • Participate in the monthly stock take with each department
  • Checking of incoming fresh foods against the purchase orders raised, paying particular attention to the weight, volume and temperatures for relevant goods.
  • To be proficient in the use of the purchasing system, processing delivery notes and invoices, print requisitions and purchase orders.
  • Work closely with stores to ensure the smooth exchange from receiving to storage. For those items on direct issue, ensure smooth delivery to the area concerned.
  • Return incorrect/unsuitable products to suppliers and obtain credit note slip as proof.
  • Maintain the loading bay as a clear and safe working environment.
  • Report any ongoing supplier issues to relevant department head.
  • Stock rotation
  • Receive and pass on all goods and deliveries in and out of the buildings to the storage area.
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety procedures particularly relating to food and beverage items.
