Job Description: In today’s digital-first environment, organizations rely on cloud adoption and modernization to stay competitive. Our OnX Cloud Architects partner with clients to migrate and modernize workloads on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), design secure and scalable architectures, and provide hands-on expertise throughout project delivery. We leverage GCP-native services, automation, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to build resilient systems that enable data-driven insights, operational efficiency, and innovation. We help clients accelerate their cloud journey by delivering architectural best practices, migration frameworks, and actionable roadmaps that align business strategy with technology outcomes. Our team works with clients to: Migrate and modernize workloads from on-premises and other clouds to Google Cloud Platform. Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-optimized GCP solutions. Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code frameworks for repeatable and automated deployments. Provide architectural documentation and solution diagrams for clear communication and governance. Design and implement containerized solutions using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and Kubernetes. Create CI/CD pipelines for IaC and application deployments. Deliver consulting and advisory services to guide clients through complex cloud transformation initiatives. Responsibilities As a Google Cloud Architect, you will: Lead workload migration initiatives Plan and execute migrations from on-premises and multi-cloud environments to Google Cloud, including re-host, re-platform, and re-architect strategies. Architect GCP solutions Design highly available, secure, and scalable architectures using GCP best practices and the Google Cloud Architecture Framework. Produce architectural documentation and diagrams Create reference architectures, design documents, and deployment guides to support delivery and governance. Implement and optimize Kubernetes and GKE solutions Design, deploy, and manage enterprise-grade container orchestration environments using GKE. Develop IaC frameworks Build automated deployment pipelines using Terraform, Google Cloud Deployment Manager, and infrastructure-as-code best practices. Enable CI/CD for IaC and workloads Implement continuous integration and delivery pipelines using tools such as Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar platforms. Engage with clients directly Provide consulting expertise, conduct workshops, and lead solution design discussions with business and technical stakeholders. Stay current on GCP services and trends Recommend and integrate new Google Cloud services to continuously improve client environments. Requirements Required Proven hands-on experience architecting and delivering Google Cloud Platform solutions. Strong background in workload migrations from on-premises and other clouds to GCP. Expertise in Kubernetes and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) design and operations. Proficiency with IaC tools such as Terraform and Google Cloud-native provisioning tools. Experience building CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments. Solid understanding of: GCP networking (VPCs, Shared VPC, VPN, Interconnect) Identity and Access Management (IAM, service accounts, workload identity) Security, governance, and DevOps practices Hands-on experience with GCP landing zone architectures (organization, folders, projects, billing, policies). Experience using Google Cloud Operations Suite (formerly Stackdriver) for monitoring, logging, and observability. FinOps experience: ability to review, analyze, and optimize GCP cloud costs. Strong communication and client-facing consulting skills. Google Professional Cloud Architect or relevant GCP specialty certifications. 4+ years of professional experience in cloud architecture, engineering, or solution delivery. Nice to Have Experience with hybrid architectures and multi-cloud strategies. Familiarity with container security, service mesh (e.g., Anthos Service Mesh / Istio), and advanced observability solutions. Knowledge of GCP and non-GCP databases, including Cloud SQL, Spanner, BigQuery, or migrating legacy databases to GCP. Experience with monitoring and logging solutions beyond Cloud Operations (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch). Education Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. Preferred: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. #LI-PK1 #LI-HYBRID #LI-CANADA Due to U.S. Government requirements applicable to foreign-owned telecommunications providers, non-US citizens may be required to submit to an extensive government agency background check which will necessitate disclosure of sensitive Personally Identifiable Information.
