About the role In this role, you will support the Senior Governance Advisor – Council Business in facilitating council activities and governance processes. You will focus on coordination, stakeholder engagement, and reporting while providing high-level support and managing sensitive information with discretion. Key responsibilities include: * Contribute to a range of governance activities to develop and implement solutions in line with department strategy and plans.  * Provide subject matter advice when required to the department leaders and other relevant stakeholders. * Conduct investigative and analytical research and review to provide considered input into policy development within the area of governance and quality assurance. * Contribute to a positive and inclusive team culture, by supporting change activities and actively collaborating with team members to achieve high levels of productivity. * Execute, monitor, and report on work progress against plans and budgets to ensure timely delivery in line with the relevant regulations and policies. About you To be successful in this role, you will have a Tertiary qualification in Business, Administration, Law and or some experience in the field in a comparable organisation. Essential Experience: * Experience in a similar position within a local, state, or federal government agency. * Demonstrated knowledge and skills in governance administration and interpretation of legislation. * Demonstrated people skills to support, influence, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders. * Good problem solving and stakeholder management skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders to achieve task outcomes.
