What We Are Looking For Thread Bank is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive professional to support the execution and oversight of its Financial Crimes Compliance (FCC) program. This role is critical to maintaining centralized visibility across AML and fraud initiatives, coordinating remediation efforts, and driving consistency in partner oversight and regulatory readiness. The ideal candidate will contribute to risk assessment activities, support technology and vendor due diligence, and assist in the development of governance documentation and reporting metrics used in committee and board-level presentations. This position requires strong organizational skills, a foundational understanding of financial crimes risk, and the ability to manage deliverables across multiple FCC workstreams in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. What you'll do • Serve as a “control tower” for FCC activities by maintaining centralized visibility across AML and fraud initiatives, tracking dependencies, surfacing emerging risks, and ensuring coordinated execution across internal teams and external partners • Support technology and vendor due diligence efforts by coordinating documentation reviews, risk assessments, and control evaluations for FCC-related systems and third-party providers; assist in tracking onboarding, periodic reviews, and issue remediation across the vendor lifecycle • Coordinate remediation efforts across FCC workstreams by tracking corrective actions, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring timely closure of issues identified through audits, exams, and internal reviews • Support financial crimes risk assessments by compiling AML and fraud risk indicators, documenting control effectiveness, and tracking mitigation actions across business lines • Contribute to drafting and refining AML and fraud-related policies, procedures, and governance documentation in collaboration with program leads and compliance officers • Assist in enhancing FCC reporting dashboards and metrics focused on suspicious activity trends, fraud case resolution timelines, and SAR filing performance for committee and board reporting • Help prepare and organize materials for BSA/AML audits, regulatory exams, and independent reviews, including SAR samples, fraud case summaries, and control testing artifacts • Monitor deadlines and deliverables tied to AML governance, fraud risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance using structured project management tools Qualifications • 3–5 years of experience in banking, financial crimes compliance, risk management, or related fields • Exposure to third-party/vendor oversight or fintech partnerships preferred • Certifications (e.g., CAMS, CRCM, or similar) a plus but not required • Familiarity with financial crimes regulatory requirements and partner oversight in a bank- fintech environment • Experience supporting regulatory exams or audits related to FCC a plus • Strong organizational and coordination skills with attention to detail • Effective written and verbal communication skills across teams and external partners • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment • Working knowledge of BSA/AML/OFAC regulations and financial crimes risk concepts • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic project tracking tools • Collaborative mindset and willingness to learn in a matrixed organization • Ability to support process improvement and documentation efforts within FCC governance Employee must be able to perform essential functions of the position and, if requested, Thread Bank will make reasonable accommodations to enable employees with disabilities to perform the essential functions of their job, absent undue hardship, in accordance with the ADA.
