Our audit support function is split into the Office of the Auditor-General and Corporate Services.What's the role? As the Governance Officer, you will support the Governance Manager by delivering high-quality governance, compliance, and corporate support services across VAGO. Working in a small team, you will deliver governance and compliance activities, manage correspondence and audit referrals and prepare high-quality analysis reporting for senior stakeholders. You will be responsible for monitoring compliance and improvement actions, supporting the customer satisfaction survey program, and contributing to organisational improvement through targeted business improvement initiatives. You will prepare well-written reports and briefings, maintain accurate records, collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation, and contribute to business improvement initiatives. Strong judgement, attention to detail, analytical capability, and the ability to balance competing priorities are essential, along with a proactive, innovative, and change-positive mindset.Who we're looking for The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, demonstrate strong analytical capability, and be able to work through complex concepts to solve problems and support effective decision making. They will exercise sound judgement, balance competing priorities, and bring a proactive, innovative and change-positive mindset.
