Job description for Governance Specialist for the IT sector (m/f/d)

We are currently looking for a Governance Specialist for the IT sector (m/f/d) for our client.

Your tasks.

  • Development and implementation of IT governance strategies, processes and guidelines
  • Ensuring compliance with IT compliance requirements (e.g., ISO, GDPR) and internal company guidelines.
  • Conducting risk analyses and defining control measures to minimize IT risks
  • Monitoring IT governance structures and conducting regular audits to ensure process compliance
  • Close collaboration with the IT security, data protection and compliance departments, as well as advising IT departments on governance issues.
  • Creation and maintenance of documentation on governance and compliance guidelines.
  • Promoting awareness within the company regarding IT governance and compliance through training and workshops

Your profile .

  • Completed studies in computer science, business informatics or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of experience in IT governance, ideally in a regulated sector
  • Knowledge of IT compliance, IT risk management and IT security standards (e.g. ISO 27001, ITIL, COBIT)
  • Experience in implementing legal and regulatory requirements in the IT sector (e.g. GDPR)
  • Strong analytical skills and a good understanding of complex IT processes
  • Strong communication skills, assertiveness, and the ability to guide change processes
  • Excellent German and English skills, both spoken and written.
