We are looking for sophomore and junior students majoring in political science, communications, public policy, international affairs, marketing or a related field for a 12-week internship role in Washington, DC from May 18 2026 to August 7 2026. Position Description: Roles at our Washington, DC site are available in the below departments: Government Affairs Track congressional and agency activity to assess implications for AstraZeneca’s therapeutic areas and corporate priorities. Participate in staff-led engagements with congressional offices, agencies, and patient and provider advocacy organizations. Identify a priority business need, research and develop policy solutions, and present findings to internal colleagues for feedback and potential inclusion in departmental priorities. Political Programs Engage with PAC newsletter development, social media management, and budget support Corporate Communications Engage with Policy, Sustainability, and Partnerships specific projects with support for external and digital communications. Position Requirements: Sophomore and junior students majoring in political science, communications, public policy, international affairs, marketing or a related field. Candidates must have an expected graduation date after August 2026. US Work Authorization is required at time of application. This role will not be offering CPT support. Experience and/or familiarity with internal and external communications, creative & digital, the US legislative and regulatory system, stakeholder relations, and data literacy preferred Enthusiasm for collaboration, cross-functional projects, public speaking, and presentation design. Experience with MS Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) required. Ability to report onsite to Washington, DC 3-5 days per week. This role will not provide relocation assistance.
