MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience with working on technology policy issues within government, think tanks, public interest groups, law, or a related industry association.
  • 10 years of experience with working in public affairs, political communications, or political campaigns, or within government

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with Internet technologies and the policy environments with latest trends and information on the technical and regulatory issues.
  • Knowledge policymaker communications and values with the ability to work in a matrixed organization.
  • Knowledge of the Internet in a modern society.
  • Ability to represent Government Affairs and Public Policy in executive internal meetings.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute public policy strategies aligned with Google’s objectives in Singapore, representing the company externally at the highest levels of government and policymaking.
  • Lead policy campaigns, advocate for Google’s interests on issues including Artificial Intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, content regulation, anti-scam efforts, and engagements to drive favorable outcomes.
  • Build and manage the network of industry partners, non-profit groups, and academic allies to support policies that promote an open, user-focused online environment.
  • Ensure internal coordination and information flow with local and global colleagues, providing counsel to cross-functional teams and executive leadership on policy matters.
  • Monitor and analyze legislative developments, provide recommendations on business impact and expert guidance during regulatory crises to safeguard Google’s interests.
