Robinhood is looking to hire an experienced professional to join our team as a Government Affairs Associate and focus on relationships with state and local policymakers. Reporting to our Manager of Government Affairs, this role will drive state and local advocacy on behalf of Robinhood and advance our priority policy issues - described in more detail on Robinhood’s policy site here. We are looking for a highly adaptable and collaborative person who can drive results through a fast paced environment. THIS ROLE IS BASED IN OUR WASHINGTON DC OFFICE, WITH IN-PERSON ATTENDANCE EXPECTED AT LEAST 5 DAYS PER WEEK.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Advocate for relevant policy issues and develop relationships with state and local policymakers in the U.S.
  • Lead engagements with industry associations, ensuring their agenda supports Robinhood’s policy goals
  • Utilize political and policy expertise to identify opportunities that advance Robinhood’s policy priorities
  • Equip key internal stakeholders with clear and timely understanding of complex legislative and regulatory policies
  • Manage the strategy of and prepare Robinhood executives for engagements with relevant state government officials
  • Engage directly in-person with state government officials across the U.S.

IN ADDITION TO THE BASE PAY RANGE LISTED BELOW, THIS ROLE IS ALSO ELIGIBLE FOR BONUS OPPORTUNITIES + EQUITY + BENEFITS.

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected base pay range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones.
