Description

Microsoft’s Corporate, External and Legal Affairs (CELA) Department has an opening for an experienced professional to lead Microsoft’s government affairs and public policy in Malaysia, reporting to the ASEAN CELA lead. This senior position offers a unique opportunity to work with regulators, government stakeholders, industry peers and thought leaders on emerging complex technology policy. The role involves close collaboration across Microsoft’s matrixed organization in the region and worldwide, in line with the growing international role Malaysia plays in shaping global and regional policy agenda on issues such as artificial intelligence (AI). The successful individual will represent the CELA function on the Microsoft Malaysia Leadership Team, working closely with the Managing Director, the Public Sector Lead, and other senior business leaders in-country to ensure strong alignment between legal, regulatory, and policy priorities and Microsoft’s business objectives. In addition, while the core focus will be on Malaysia, the individual will also monitor key policy and regulatory developments in the Philippines and engage with relevant stakeholders there as required, ensuring Microsoft maintains visibility and influence on critical issues across both markets. Responsibilities

Lead Microsoft’s government affairs and public policy in Malaysia, collaborating with regulators and stakeholders. Represent the CELA function on the Microsoft Malaysia Leadership Team to align legal, regulatory, and policy priorities with business objectives.
