Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Government Compliance Financial Analyst based in the United States. This role sits within a government finance and compliance environment supporting critical audit and regulatory activities. You will play a key part in ensuring adherence to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS). The position involves close collaboration with internal teams and government agencies such as DCAA and DCMA. You will contribute to audit readiness, financial accuracy, and compliant cost reporting processes. It offers exposure to complex government contracting frameworks and large-scale financial operations. This is a remote-first opportunity with occasional travel and strong cross-functional interaction in a mission-driven setting. \n Accountabilities: Support government audits and internal inquiries by gathering, validating, and analyzing documentation in line with contractual and regulatory requirements, while coordinating responses with DCAA and internal stakeholders. Assist in preparing incurred cost submissions, financial reports, and supporting documentation for audits, cost proposals, and business system reviews. Perform financial reconciliations, data validation, and monthly cost monitoring to ensure accuracy and timely corrections in accounting systems. Apply FAR, CAS, and internal policies to evaluate cost allowability, compliance, and financial integrity across reporting processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to research cost issues, organizational changes, and accounting practices impacting compliance. Maintain effective communication with government representatives and internal stakeholders while supporting ongoing training and special projects as needed. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. 0–2 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or government contracting environments. Understanding or exposure to government compliance frameworks such as FAR and CAS is highly desirable. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills with the ability to manage deadlines effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with systems such as Costpoint, Cognos, or OnBase is a plus. Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and present findings confidently when needed. Benefits: Competitive salary range: $60,000 – $75,000 annually (based on experience and qualifications). Health, dental, and vision insurance coverage. Paid time off, holidays, and parental leave. 401(k) retirement plan with potential matching contributions. Educational reimbursement and professional development opportunities. Employee stock purchase plan and tax-saving options. Disability, life insurance, and optional pet insurance coverage. \n How Jobgether works: We use an AI-powered matching process to ensure your application is reviewed quickly, objectively, and fairly against the role's core requirements.
