REQUIREMENTS:

Please note, when submitting a college/university degree, if selected for this position official transcripts will be required.

  • Six (6) years of administrative corrections experience. Postsecondary education may substitute on a year for basis for the required experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Experience with State of Florida contract monitoring guidelines and practices and MyFlorida Marketplace (MFMP).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working with correctional programs to include volunteers, in-prison and community-based programs and re-entry programs.
    Support of knowledge, skills, and abilities should be demonstrated on the application, in the education, in the work experience, in the work sample, in the interview and/or during reference checks.

Responsibilities
  • Dive into program data and OBIS reports to recommend exciting changes that boost effectiveness, efficiency, and cost savings. Monitor contract site visits and evaluations to ensure top-notch performance.
  • Take charge of special projects, including procurement, invoice certification, and data entry. Manage expenditures and allocations and ensure smooth referral approvals.
  • Prepare and track purchase requests, solicit program materials and services, and determine the best quantities and costs. Assist in developing procurement requests and contracts.
  • Draft thoughtful responses to inquiries from inmates, their families, department staff, and the public. Research and review information to provide accurate and helpful answers.
  • Help plan and implement the Department’s reentry initiatives, including volunteer programs, veteran’s dorms, and special facilities. Coordinate meetings, maintain databases, and facilitate training sessions to make a real impact.
