Description
The Government Relations Officer (GRO) is responsible for a wide variety of government regulatory processes, ensuring compliance with employment, licensing and immigration regulations to provide business continuity and operational integrity. This position requires careful management of corporate data, including employment records, payroll, VAT and Customs declarations and demands a high level of diligence and organizational skills. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in the areas of Government Relations and Office Management and an extensive knowledge of Saudi labor laws, processes and government portals. DESCRIPTION Manage various government portals including GOSI, QIWA, Mudad and FASAH, maintaining accuracy of data and ensuring active subscriptions Coordinate attestations for employee documentation, including invitation letters and salary certifications Provide authorizations for brokers and shipments Secure government licenses for special events Obtain certificates of origin through the Chamber of Commerce Handle wage protection and monthly VAT filings Develop strong working relationships with relevant government offices and regulatory authorities Ensure accurate record keeping of government transactions, certificates, licenses and other related documentation Perform other miscellaneous ad-hoc duties at management request MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Fluent in Arabic and English Bachelor’s degree in business administration, HR, or related field At least 3 years in a GRO or similar role PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Expert knowledge of Saudi government regulatory processes, particularly in relation to employment laws, tax and licensing The ability to work independently to set deadlines Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to develop positive relationships with government entities
