We are seeking an experienced Government Contract Specialist to join our team full-time. This role will focus on helping our company secure state and federal contracts, including with the Department of Defense (DoD).

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with federal and state contracting processes (Department of Defense experience strongly preferred)
• Knowledge of registration systems (SAM.gov, SBA, state portals, etc.)
• Strong understanding of government compliance requirements and procurement rules
• Ability to review, analyze, and interpret government contracts
• Experience working with subcontractors and managing contract setups
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Proactive and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently

  Pay: $32.00 - $45.00 per hour
  Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week

• Guide the company through the registration process with state and federal systems (SAM.gov, SBA programs, etc.)
• Identify and prepare all necessary paperwork and compliance documents for government contracts
• Assist in determining where and how to register for eligibility under federal and state procurement programs
• Review government contract solicitations and provide guidance on compliance and requirements
• Support the preparation and submission of grant and contract applications
• Assist in setting up and managing contracts with subcontractors, ensuring compliance with federal rules and company policies
• Monitor updates on DoD and government opportunities and advise management on bidding strategies
