Job Description Are you a relationship-focused healthcare professional with experience in medical liaison, business development, or stakeholder engagement? Join Port Macquarie Private Hospital, part of Ramsay Health Care, and play a key role in strengthening referral networks and supporting the growth of our hospital services. About the Role Reporting to the Hospital CEO, you will work closely with the hospital leadership team and Business Development and Growth functions to build strong relationships across the local healthcare community. This part-time position (5-day fortnight) is responsible for driving referral growth, increasing engagement with General Practitioners, Practice Managers, allied health professionals and Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs), and promoting the hospital’s services and specialties. This is a highly visible relationship management role focused on developing strong referrer networks, identifying growth opportunities, supporting VMO engagement, and enhancing Port Macquarie Private Hospital’s presence within the local medical community. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement strategies to increase referrals through GP engagement, networking and targeted business development activities. Build and maintain strong relationships with GP practices, Practice Managers, Allied Health professionals and VMOs across the local catchment. Maintain accurate CRM records and provide insights on referral activity, trends and growth opportunities. Promote hospital services, clinical specialties and VMO capabilities through stakeholder engagement and communication activities. Support VMO onboarding, engagement and private practice development. Partner with hospital leadership and key stakeholders to support strategic growth initiatives. About You You will bring experience in business development, healthcare liaison, stakeholder engagement or a similar relationship-focused role, with the ability to build trusted partnerships and influence outcomes. You will have: Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining professional relationships across diverse stakeholder groups. Strong communication, networking and influencing skills, with confidence engaging with medical professionals. Experience coordinating stakeholder events, education sessions or engagement activities. The ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities and deliver measurable outcomes. Strong organisational skills, with experience using CRM systems, databases and Microsoft Office applications. The ability to interpret data and identify opportunities for growth. A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel throughout the local catchment. Desirable Experience within private healthcare or the medical industry. Qualifications in Business, Marketing, Health or a related discipline. Understanding of GP referral pathways and specialist engagement. Experience with CRM reporting, Power BI or data analytics tools.
