Job Summary
Ouse Valley Practice is seeking an organized and detail-oriented GP Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a GP Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for assisting patients and their families in navigating the healthcare system and accessing the care they need. Your excellent telephone manner and administrative skills will be essential in coordinating appointments, managing medical records, and providing support to patients throughout their primary healthcare journey.
Duties
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, families, and healthcare providers
- Schedule appointments.
- Assist patients in understanding their healthcare options and making informed decisions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care
- Respond to all queries and requests from patients and other visitors.
Experience
- Previous experience in an administrative or office role is required
- Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare processes is preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of electronic medical record systems is desired.
