OVERVIEW

We are seeking a professional and friendly Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing a variety of administrative tasks. This role requires excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience of dealing with the public and providing outstanding customer service is essential
  • Excellent communication skills, flexibility and the ability to work under pressure are also essential
  • NHS experience is desirable, along with knowledge of systmOne. However, full training will be given
  • Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • A professional demeanour with a customer-focused attitude
  • The ability to cover planned absences would be required

Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome visitors in a warm and professional manner
  • Assist with scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars
  • Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently
  • Handle correspondence, including emails and clinical letters
  • Respond to needs of the doctors and nurses during surgery
  • Input and extract information from the Practice computer system
  • Dealing with requests for repeat prescriptions and raising prescriptions as per practice protocols
  • Always observe health and safety guidelines
  • Always observe Confidentiality policy and guidelines
  • Opening up / locking up of practice premises (where required) and maintaining security in accordance with practice protocols
