REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous experience as a GP Medical Receptionist or GP Medical Administrator (desirable).
• EMIS system training and experience (highly desirable).
• Customer service experience (essential).
• GCSEs in Maths and English, Grade C or above, or equivalent (essential).
• Strong IT skills and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to stay calm and collected under pressure with a positive, can-do attitude.
• A strong team player who is willing to support others as needed.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a GP Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing excellent customer service and supporting various administrative duties. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the surgery and supporting our healthcare team. Shifts will vary, including early starts and late finishes up to 6:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Welcoming patients and handling inquiries both in person and over the phone.
• Scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and updating information using the EMIS system.
• Carrying out general administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and processing patient requests.
• Assisting with patient referrals, insurance paperwork, and other clerical duties.
