PON Projects is a subsidiary of Comtex that specialise in the design and construction of GPON infrastructure and Communication Services for Aged Care, Hotels, and Residential Estates across Multi Dwelling and Single Dwelling Units.
We are seeking a Project Manager to in become a part of our dynamic team in Brisbane.

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of GPON projects within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecommunications and project management. The Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating with cross-functional teams, managing project timelines and budgets, and ensuring the successful deployment of GPON solutions.
Responsibilities:
1. - Lead and manage GPON projects from initiation to completion
2. - Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource requirements, and milestones, and communicate project status updates to stakeholders.
3. - Act as the primary point of contact for clients and vendors regarding GPON project requirements, expectations, and deliverables.
4. - Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to minimize project risks and ensure successful project delivery.
5. - Provide leadership and guidance to project team members, fostering a collaborative and productive working environment.

  • Assist in the creation of splice plans, test plans, system as-builts and other documentation

  • Budget Management: Experience in managing budgets, tracking expenses, and controlling costs.

  • Manage project issues, risks and dependencies to align with stakeholders’ expectations.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in telecommunications, engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PMI-ACP) preferred.
2. Proven experience managing GPON projects in a telecommunications or networking environment, with a strong understanding of GPON technology and architecture.
3. Demonstrated expertise in project management methodologies, tools, and techniques, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
Budget Management: Experience in managing budgets, tracking expenses, and controlling costs.
4. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders and build consensus among cross-functional teams.
Manage project issues, risks and dependencies to align with stakeholders’ expectations.
5. Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and decision-making, capable of identifying root causes of issues and implementing effective solutions.
6. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and project requirements, with a proactive and solution-oriented attitude.
7. Experience working with vendors, subcontractors, and external partners to coordinate project activities and deliverables.
8. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to GPON networks, with a commitment to compliance and adherence to relevant guidelines.
