POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS), Space, Intelligence & Weapon Systems (SI&WS) division, is seeking a GPS Bus Systems Engineer. This position will support the Global Positioning System (GPS) sustainment program located at Schriever Space Force Base about 10 miles east of Colorado Springs. GPS is a satellite-based radio-navigation system owned by the United States government and operated by the United States Space Force. GPS is the world’s largest military satellite constellation and is the world’s only global utility. GPS provides position, navigation, and timing data to military and civilian users globally with countless applications and an unlimited number of users.
The GPS Systems Engineer reports to the Operations Support team and is responsible for supporting special engineering projects and the baseline program statement of work. The GPS Systems Engineer supports the program and special projects as a subsystem subject matter expert (SME).

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • Active U.S. security clearance; secret or above.
  • 2+ years of engineering experience or equivalent education/experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Active U.S. security clearance; Top secret or above.
  • Experience in Global Positioning System (GPS) Operations
